Real Weddings | Elegant North 4th Corridor Revery Wedding

A North 4th Corridor Revery wedding is always a showstopper, but Sydney and Connor’s celebration felt especially joyful, personal, and alive from the very start. I had the privilege of serving as their month-of coordinator, stepping in during the final stretch to help ensure their thoughtfully planned day unfolded seamlessly, and it was truly a delight to be part of it.

Sydney & Connor are warm, grounded, and full of easy laughter; they’re the kind of couple whose joy naturally sets the tone for everyone around them.

From The Tennis Courts to “I Do”

Sydney and Connor’s story began on the tennis courts at Otterbein, where they met while playing on the team. That shared history, and the community that grew around it, was beautifully woven into their wedding day. Many members of their wedding party were fellow Otterbein tennis players, and tennis rackets even made a surprise appearance during portraits.

A Beloved Pup and a Skyline Setting

One of the most charming parts of the day was the role played by their sweet dog, Luna. She joined the girls while getting ready, was present for Sydney and Connor’s first look, and took her responsibilities as Flower Dog very seriously during the ceremony. Watching her trot down the aisle was a moment that had everyone smiling.

Sydney and Connor chose Revery because of its breathtaking views of the Columbus skyline and its convertible roof, which gives the space a rooftop balcony, right-on-top-of-the-city feel. Since the couple’s day was blessed with absolutely perfect weather, the roof was opened for dancing, and the celebration flowed effortlessly into the night sky - one of the many reasons a Revery wedding is such a dream.

Pearls, Light, and Timeless Glamour

The design of the day was elegant and intentional, centered around a black and white palette that allowed the natural light at Revery to shine. Pearls, an element Sydney loves, were a consistent through-line throughout the decor: draped over ceremony chairs, woven into paper details, featured on her shoes (from ceremony flats to custom “Mrs. Radune” Air Force Ones), and even incorporated into the pearled mini dress she wore for dancing.

Clear acrylic chairs, translucent chargers, and glowing candelabras kept the space feeling airy and glamorous, while baby’s breath woven into the bases of the candelabras added softness and romance. The effect was timeless, elevated, and perfectly suited to a North 4th Corridor wedding.

Cheesecake and the DJ Deck

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Sydney and Connor opted for something much more “them”: a pearl-encrusted two-tier cheesecake from The Cheesecake Girl, along with mini cheesecakes for guests. It was a fun, personal twist that guests absolutely loved.

One of my favorite reception moments came when their DJ, Joe of Josh Staley Productions, invited Sydney and Connor behind the DJ deck to try mixing music themselves. It was high-energy, unexpected, and such a joyful memory for everyone in the room.

Coordination Behind the Scenes

The layout of North 4th Corridor (specifically the single elevator that services Revery, one of three venues on the property) can present some logistical challenges during transitions. Immediately following the ceremony, my assistant and I coordinated the quick movement of key welcome table items (programs, audio guestbook, card box, gifts) upstairs so that everything was perfectly in place as guests arrived for cocktail hour. With the help of a few groomsmen, we kept traffic flowing smoothly and avoided any disruption to the guest experience.

Collaborating with Joe was another highlight; his clear communication and preparation made it easy to keep the timeline on track and the energy high throughout the night.

A Magical Farewell

Instead of sparklers, Sydney and Connor chose a sendoff with LED fairy wands in the lobby of the Smith Hardware building (which houses Revery on the top floor). Against the dark backdrop, surrounded by cheering friends and family, it was a magical, modern ending to a truly unforgettable North 4th Corridor Revery wedding.
